Remote System MonitoringSummon Help Automatically in a Break-In, Fire, or Medical Emergency

Remote System Monitoring Overview

The Security Alarm System Remote Monitoring will allow the security alarm system to communicate with our 24 hour central monitoring station, located here in Florida. The central station can then notify authorities of an alarm activation. The central monitoring station will also then notify you and/or others you have placed on a call list to inform them of the alarm situation.

Security System Monitoring

You’ve heard the old saying, if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a noise?. Well if your security alarm is activated and no one responds, are you secure? If the vandals open a door or window and then leave, you need to have someone responding. Sometimes the vandals are watching for a response. When the security alarm sounder resets itself, and no one has responded, your premises is now open for all to enter and stay as long as they like. Walking into a home or business that has been vandalized is a tragic experience: an experience that sometime takes a long time to get over.

When your security system is monitored by our 24 hour central monitoring center, your system communicates the alarm activation to the central station. The central station notifies the authorities. The central station then notifies you or others you may have placed on your call list to respond and meet the authorities. Your children or employees will not be the ones discovering the break-in.

Wireless Monitoring

There are methods of monitoring your security system wirelessly. The wireless monitoring can be a back-up to a hardwired monitoring system, or could be the primary monitoring method.

One of the benefits of wireless monitoring, over and above the reliability, is that you can access your system through your computer. You can view the history and check on when the system was armed or disarmed. You can view alarm activations. You can even arm and disarm the system over your computer.

You can monitor when employees open and close your business. You can monitor when the kids get home from school. You can even have the system email you to report these activities, or lack of these activities.

HabiTech is a local company providing local service and local monitoring. As you can see, HabiTech does have a wide array of security products and services to fit your needs.

Independent Living Solutions

HabiTech LifeLink with Alarm.com allows independent seniors and disabled individuals to stay connected around the clock with family members and care providers who can check in on them and provide assistance if needed. Wireless Monitoring applications span much further than standard security or monitoring the babysitter. Wireless monitoring with LifeLink and Alarm.com is providing freedom for those who otherwise might have been headed for the assisted living facility.

With LifeLink and Alarm.com’s unique communications capabilities, it is now possible to notify others of lack of movement in the residences of the elderly. Just think, if the medicine cabinet is not opened by 9am, you get a text message. If the security system is not disarmed by 8am, you get an email. If movement in the family room has not been detected for hours, you get a voice mail.

Advantages of the LifeLink/Alarm.com System:

  • Patented "Up & About" inactivity monitoring: Find out if your loved one hasn't gotten out of bed in the morning, or if there's been a serious fall or other accident preventing them from calling for help. HabiTech/Alarm.com can alert you if activity has not been reported at the property for an extended period of time - indicating a potential problem. For example, receive a text message if the system doesn't detect activity for 6 straight hours between 10am and 8pm, when the resident is typically "up and about."
  • Customizable sensor activity notifications: Receive alerts if the system detects activity outside of the individual's usual patterns. Customize e-mail and text message alerts in order to be notified if a certain sensor reports activity during unexpected hours - even if the system is disarmed. For example, receive an email if the garage door is opened between 10pm and 6am.
  • 24/7 Web monitoring of day-to-day activity: Log in from anywhere to check recent activity at an individual's home and make sure everything is okay. See when motion sensors were last activated, or when particular door, window, or cabinet sensors were opened or closed.
  • Wireless panic buttons, pendants, and wristbands: In the event of an emergency, the resident can press a button to generate immediate alerts to a list of contacts and (optionally) a central monitoring station.
  • Secure wireless signaling - no phone line required: A LifeLink/Alarm.com system does not rely on a phone line or internet connection, so it's not vulnerable to line tampering or internet outages. All signals are sent through a dedicated, wireless connection. A backup battery enables system functionality for up to 24 hours during a power outage.
  • Once again, the possibilities are endless. Speak with your LifeLink Representative to discover how you can provide freedom for those in your family approaching the golden years.
