Security System Design
The Security Alarm System design starts out with perimeter protection. This means doors and/or windows on the perimeter of the premises may be contacted for the detection of opening. The system reminds you to close all windows and doors before you arm the system. Some systems will even tell you which window or door may have been left open. The system may also feature interior protection, usually in the form of motion sensors, to detect movement while the premises is unoccupied. These motion sensors can provide an “interior trap” for unwanted intruders, or they can be used to protect “specific items”. An interior or exterior siren will alert you and the intruder of an alarm activation.
HabiTech will also provide for the monitoring of the system to alert the 24 hour central monitoring center of any alarm activation.
Additionally, HabiTech can provide for this 24 hour monitoring of the security system, even if there is no phone line, cable, or internet. It can be a completely wireless monitoring system.
Residential Security
The Residential Security Alarm System design starts out with complete perimeter protection. This means every door and window on the perimeter of the home will be alarmed. You will never again leave your home with windows left open, inviting intruders. The system reminds you to close all windows and doors. Some systems will even tell you which window or door may have been left open.
The system also features highly recommended interior protection, usually in the form of motion sensors, to detect movement in the home while the home is unoccupied. These motion sensors can provide an “interior trap” for unwanted intruders, or they can be used to protect “specific items”. Usually the motion sensors are not active while you are at home. But once you leave the home, your residence is fully protected with back-up interior protection.
Arm and disarm keypads are located in convenient areas of the home.
An internal siren will sound on alarm activation to let you and the intruder know the system has been activated.
A back-up self recharging power supply will keep the system functioning in the event of a power loss.
HabiTech will also provide the monitoring and supervision of the system to alert the 24 hour central monitoring center of any alarm activation or supervisory issues. If you’ve left the kids at home with the babysitter, rest assured, the security system will alert them of an attempted intrusion, notify authorities, and contact you where ever you are to keep you informed.
HabiTech can also provide monitoring and supervision of the security system, even if there is no phone line, cable, or internet. It can be a completely wireless monitoring system.
Commercial Security
Commercial Security Alarm Systems may differ from the residential systems. The perimeter protection may only include door sensors for detection of unauthorized entry. If you have items of value that could be easily and quickly be taken, glassbreak sensors should be included. This could possibly eliminate the “smash and grab” scenario.
Motion sensors are almost always a must in commercial security systems. Remember, motion sensors can be interior traps or used to protect specific items. Many times we don’t know exactly where the intruder may enter from, but we know where he is going. Protect those specific items of value. Don’t forget sensitive information as well. It could take days or even weeks to rebuild a customer accounting file.
Arm and disarm keypads will be included. Your keypad does not necessarily need to be next to the front door. Try to keep it out of sight. Do not fall prey to the “marketing” practices of some alarm companies. The “all in one” keypad and control, all built into the same device is not a good idea. You HabiTech Designer can explain why.
An interior or exterior siren will also be included.
A back-up self recharging power supply will keep the system functioning in the event of a power loss.
